Amazing Japanese Indian Destination Wedding in Hawaii by 37 Frames Part I
You’re not going to believe this wedding, the amazing multi-day, multi-city love fest of Yohko and Vijay. We start off in an ancient geisha district in Kyoto, before heading for the bright lights of downtown Tokyo, and eventually touching down amongst the swaying palms of Hawaii’s Oahu Island. Along the way, there are intricate sari’s, traditional Japanese kimonos, centuries old traditions from two cultures, a cast of super heros, a rooftop fireworks display, and my favorite part . . . . an emotional first look that brings two grown men to tears. And that’s just part one!!
There are so many amazing details to this story that I couldn’t possibly do it justice in a single blog post. So let’s start with Yohko and Vijay’s engagement shoot. She, a Japanese girl and he, an Indian boy who fell in love in their adopted home of America and returned to Japan to document their love story via the lense of Japan’s finest, 37 Frames Photography. Their engagement session takes place first in quaint Gion Shirakawa in Kyoto, before reconvening a few days later in the buzzing metropolis of Ginza, Tokyo. In what will become a continuing theme to this wedding, the couple takes turns honoring each other’s heritage, donning both traditional Japanese and Indian costumes during their shoot. And then, we find ourselves in tropical Hawaii ready for the first of two weddings – a Japanese ceremony in a traditional temple at the foot of Oahu’s mountains, followed by an elegant, sky high affair perched up above Waikiki Beach.
Enjoy part one of this incredible story, and don’t forget to drop back on Wednesday for the finale. You do NOT want to miss part two!!
