An Elegant Beach Wedding At the Four Seasons in Costa Rica, by Four Nineteen Weddings
Five star resorts needn’t be stuffy, formal spaces. And beach weddings needn’t be casual affairs. Case in point, Mercedes and Chris’ recent beach wedding at the Four Seasons Papagayo in Costa Rica. The San Francisco based couple returned to the bride’s birth country to exchange their vows in an elegant yet relaxed day that perfectly showcased all that Costa Rica has to offer. Behind the scenes was the lovely Barbara Broutin of boutique planning studio, Four Nineteen Weddings, who managed to pull of the perfect blend of classic romance and Costa Rican flair. Mercedes & Chris’ wedding had everything they’d wished for . . . beautiful blooms, sparkling chandeliers, a tropical, beach, a breathtaking sunset, Latin tunes, old friends, new family . . .
Enjoy this loveliest of love-fests, Costa Rican style.
From the Wedding Planner: Mercedes and Chris had a very clear idea of what they wanted for their wedding, and we designed it using their inspiration but incorporating local customs and details (Merce loves peonies, which are not native to CR, so we had our florist add other complimenting blooms that would allow the same look using what could be easily found in country). The beach front ceremony was followed by cocktails overlooking the bay, and dinner in the open air ballroom at the resort, a lovely way to bring the outside in! A live latin band was just perfect to get all the guests, no matter where they hailed from, moving on the dance floor.
