Intimate Destination Wedding on a Secluded Brazillian Beach by Sara Lobla
This wedding was always going to be something special . . .
When the bride is one of Spain’s most talented and unique bridal designers, the photographer is another of Spain’s most talented creatives, and the location is a secluded stretch of Brazillian beach, well, magic happens!
You might have spotted Belen’s bridal designs already – sweet yet sexy gowns that somehow mix soft feminine styling with a modern edge and the most incredible detailing . . . sheer panels, low backs, no backs, dramatic shoulder embellishments and romantic flowing skirts. If you’re not familiar with them, hop over to Bebas Closet immediately and take a look.
Belen and her beau, Ventura chose the divine spot of Trancoso, a former sleepy fishing village that is now a luxurious holiday spot, famed for its tranquil and low key atmosphere and its many VIP guests – Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell and Diane von Furstenberg are all regulars who’ve fallen in love with its mellow pace and unspoilt beauty. Belen and Ventura’s wedding was an intimate three day affair shared with just 12 of their closest friends, including one of my favourite photographers, Sara Lobla, who was behind the lense for these pictures. And not only has Sara done a beautiful job of capturing their time in Trancoso, she describes it beautifully also . . .
From the Photographer – Sara Lobla: Belen, the bride, and I met 2 years ago in a fashion shoot. She founded her bridal atelier 8 years ago (Beba’s Closet) . Since the moment we met something special occured. Two years later I can say we are soulmates… we share many things but the one we are the most proud of is that “she transmits emotions with her dresses and I capture those emotions with my camera”.. And our friendship began in her wedding in Trancoso… only 3 days with the couples best friends: just 12 people!! A lost paradise in Bahia and a couple full of love, passion and laughs… those couples that you adore and transmit the essence of love+friendship between 2 people. Ventura was at that time living in Brasil and they had been commuting from Madrid to Sao Paulo for 2 whole years!! amazing… they wanted a really intimate wedding, simple but pretty, very personal, just their way… he loves surfing, she loves dreaming… and that was exactly the essence of those 3 days full of magical moments… during the ceremony at the beach we all felt like we were in a small parallel world, just us and them, totally overwhelmed by the emotions, the words they dedicated to each other and above everything the way they look into each others eyes. It was a B&V wedding, different to any other wedding I’d been to, because their wedding was THEIRS, their way, their souls…
