Romantic Elopement to a Private Cambodian Island by Blushing Bride Studio
The word that kept springing to mind as I first flicked through these beautiful pictures of Melanie and Stephen’s Cambodian wedding was, just, serenity. The serene beauty of the location – a private island resort just off the coast of Sihanoukville in the Gulf of Thailand. The intimate and solemn ocean side ceremony, presided over by a trio of Monks. And the couple, so calm, relaxed, happy and chilled out. Melanie and Stephen eloped to the beautiful Song Saa Islands, a pair of private islands to the south west of Cambodia, blanketed with virgin rainforest and fringed with white sand beaches and warm, crystal clear waters. Known as ‘The Sweethearts‘ in Khmer, the Song Saa islands provided a completely magical setting for their intimate island vows, and the oh so romantic reception – just for two – that followed.
From the Photographer: It was quite simply, the most relaxed wedding I’ve ever been to. Just a bride and a groom, 3 monks and a few adventure-filled portrait sessions around the island. As the night fell, I let the couple enjoy their private ‘reception’ dinner under huge swaying palms, overlooking the sea.
Calm, relaxed, happy and chilled out. What a perfect way to end the week. Happy Friday all! May your weekend bring you all of these fine things.
